Latex balloons are 100% biodegradable and environmentally friendly. It will take a latex balloon as long as an oak leaf to decompose. Latex comes from the solidified sap of a rubber tree and is non-toxic. Foil balloons are sometimes known as Mylar's. These balloons are made of nylon and coated with aluminium. Foil balloons must never be used in balloon releases or races as they are not biodegradable. Foil balloons must always be sold with a weight to prevent accidental release into the atmosphere. Foil balloons can be disposed of in the same way as a plastic bag. Broken balloons should be removed immediately from babies and children. They should also be discouraged to suck or chew on balloons. Helium is a totally non-toxic, non- explosive and inert and does not affect the ozone layer. Under construction! please check back soon - Thank You!
